Six Greene Giving Components Creating Change in Our Community

We at Greene Giving are proud to partner with passionate individuals and organizations working to make a difference in our community. From preserving local history to honoring loved ones and supporting youth, these six new components embody the spirit of generosity and community connection.

The 5K Run-Walk for Lily brings the community together each year to honor Lily’s memory. Lily was a Fairborn High School student who tragically passed away in a car accident on December 16, 2022. Proceeds from the event fund scholarships for Fairborn High School graduates, helping students pursue their dreams while keeping Lily’s legacy alive.

Dedicated to recognizing veterans and those who supported U.S. troops abroad, the American Allied Veterans and Supporters organization provides ongoing appreciation and connection for those who served and contributed to our nation’s defense.

The Friends of Beavercreek Township Fire Dept. Auxiliary provide essential support to members of the Beavercreek Township Fire Department during emergency scenes, public events, and family social activities. Their commitment strengthens the department and uplifts the entire community.

The Friends of Cherry Grove Cemetery work to maintain, update, and preserve this meaningful resting place in Xenia, OH. Through their efforts, they ensure that generations of families can continue to honor their loved ones in a well-cared-for space.

With a passion for preserving Greene County’s agricultural heritage, the Friends of Greene County Agricultural Society is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and enhancing the rich agricultural heritage of Greene County. Through education, community engagement, and support of the Greene County Fair and related agricultural events, they strive to foster a deeper appreciation for farming, youth development, and rural traditions.

Committed to maintaining and sharing the stories of our past, the Friends of Beavercreek Historical Society preserves structures of historical significance, develops and presents educational programs, operates a learning/research center, and co-manages a historical park, to educate students and citizens about early local and Ohio pioneer life.

Generosity Through Scholarships

Statistics show that more than 60% of college students rely on scholarships, and about 15% of those receive private scholarships. Someone calculated that 1.8 million private scholarships are awarded annually in the U.S. Establishing a scholarship is a great way to extend generosity and pay it forward.
