ESTABLISHING A SCHOLARSHIP

Named Greene Giving Accounts may be established to provide scholarships so deserving students can pursue their educational objectives. Maximum flexibility can be maintained within applicable federal laws as donors define the eligible colleges, areas of study, size of grants, as well as other criteria.

Businesses and families or other individuals as donors may be particularly interested in scholarships or other types of educational Greene Giving Accounts.

Reasons to Establish Your Scholarship with Greene Giving:

  • Ability to name a scholarship in honor of a specific person.
  • Ability to specify scholarship criteria.
  • Convenience.
  • Flexibility.
  • Ability to retain involvement with the scholarship post-conception.

Legacies

The Greene Giving team is available to meet with advisors (accountants, attorneys, etc.) and donors to determine their giving objectives.

Planned gifts offer several ways in which to create real options to benefit scholarships or other types of Green Giving Accounts. Legacies through wills (bequests) can specify dollar amounts or a percentage of estates.

School Guide

Volunteers from local education foundations as components of the Greene County Community Foundation also can meet with advisors and donors to help carry out businesses and families with individual intentions for scholarships.

These include the Beavercreek Education Foundation, Bellbrook Sugarcreek Education Foundation, Cedar Cliff Education Foundation, Fairborn Education Foundation and Alumni Association, Greene County Career Center Endowment, Greene County Educational Service Center Foundation as well as Greene County College Partnership. All help with other educational accounts.
